The Mary Black Medical Office Building is a four-story, 109,500 square foot Medical Office Building located on-campus of the Mary Black Memorial Hospital in Spartanburg, South Carolina. When Triad Hospitals determined that they wanted to recruit a nationally renowned orthopedic practice to Mary Black Memorial Hospital as part of their dramatic overall campus revitalization, they had a grand vision in mind. In order to realize this goal and bring a truly significant addition to the campus, Triad needed to identify a developer with the history, experience, and vision necessary for an undertaking of this importance. Triad Hospitals selected Rendina to develop and execute a plan that would eventually transform the campus, community, and region.

As one of the world’s premier medical practices, the Steadman Hawkins Clinic provides one of a kind expertise and care in the field of orthopedics and medical research. When considering the idea of branching out from their home in Vail, Colorado to open an east coast headquarters, the acclaimed physician group had several significant requirements. In order to begin a clinic and venture of this scale the practice needed to find a developer who could offer the perfect combination of significant ownership, low risk, and first class quality. The Steadman Hawkins Clinic came to the same conclusion as Triad Hospitals, and Rendina was engaged to deliver a world class medical office building.

Rendina expertise was employed to revitalize the master campus plan and meld it with an adjacent land purchase earmarked for the new undertaking. The 109,500 square foot facility features a 22,000 square foot orthopedic medical practice, 14,000 square foot wellness center, 6,000 square foot conference center, 8,000 square foot physical therapy suite, state-of-the-art imaging center, along with outdoor tracks and other supporting services. The Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas is a uniquely comprehensive healthcare facility. Marble floors, rich wood trim, and beautiful detail throughout the building separate it from any other in the region.
