Grand Opening Canyon Vista Medical Office Building

Canyon Vista Medical Center and Rendina Celebrate Opening of New Medical Office Building

Mayor Rick Mueller joined hospital executives and representatives from Rendina Healthcare Real Estate to celebrate the formal opening of a new 54,000-square-foot facility on the campus of Canyon Vista Medical Center in Sierra Vista.

The new facility, known as Medical Office Building 2 (MOB 2), connects directly to the new hospital and houses a wide array of medical services, including rehabilitation, an advanced wound care center, an infusion center, medical offices on the second floor for patients of the Sierra Vista Medical Group, and a pediatric care facility on the third floor.

Dr. Dean French, CEO of Canyon Vista Medical Center, spoke at the event and gave special mention to fellow speakers Bruce Norton, Senior Vice President and COO, and Kim Abrams, Director of Practice Management, both of whom Mr. French said were instrumental in seeing the project through to completion. Mr. Norton and others praised the hard work of hospital staff, Rendina and the contractors who worked together to design and deliver a facility less than a few months after the opening of the new hospital.

Mayor Mueller characterized the opening of new hospital and medical office building as part of a trend that places southern Arizona at the forefront of providing high-quality health care services.

Steve Barry, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Leasing for Rendina, was especially proud of the new facility, given the tight construction timeline.

Opening MOB 2 on the heels of the hospital’s grand opening was certainly a challenge, but it was one we were determined to meet. MOB 2 was designed to be an extension of the hospital and its timely completion will ensure that residents of Cochise County continue to receive the standard of care they deserve.

Canyon Vista Medical Center’s MOB 2 will serve a population of more than 131,000 throughout Sierra Vista, Ft. Huachuca and Cochise County.
