“Raising the B.A.R.” Bruce A. Rendina Memorial Golf Tournament Returns – Raises $100,000 for Pediatric Cancer Research

West Palm Beach, FL | March 5, 2025

The Raising the B.A.R. Bruce A. Rendina Memorial Golf Tournament returned on January 31, 2025, at The Park in West Palm Beach, marking its first event in five years and raising $100,000 in support of pediatric cancer research through the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

After a hiatus due to COVID, the 2025 tournament welcomed record participation and sponsorship, underscoring the continued commitment of the South Florida community to advancing pediatric cancer research and honoring the legacy of Bruce A. Rendina.

“This tournament is about far more than a day on the golf course,” said David B. Rendina, President of the Rendina Family Foundation. “It is a tribute to my father’s lifelong dedication to philanthropy and his belief in giving back. The level of support this year was incredibly meaningful and allows us to make a real impact in the fight against pediatric cancer.”

The event featured a full day of golf followed by an awards reception at E.R. Bradley’s, where attendees heard from representatives of the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation about the organization’s mission to fund innovative research and improve outcomes for children battling cancer.

More than 200 guests attended the event, including 108 golfers and 34 sponsors. Key sponsors included Force Marketing and Atlantis Paradise Island, whose support was instrumental in achieving this year’s fundraising milestone.

“The impact of these funds cannot be overstated,” said David Frazer, Chief Executive Officer of the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. “Every dollar raised helps fund critical research that brings us closer to a cure. We are deeply grateful to the Rendina family and everyone who contributed to the success of this event.”

The Raising the B.A.R. tournament was established in honor of Bruce A. Rendina, a respected leader in healthcare real estate and a passionate philanthropist. Since its inception, the event has raised significant funding to support pediatric cancer research and patient care, continuing Bruce Rendina’s legacy of service and generosity.

Planning is already underway for the next Raising the B.A.R. tournament, with goals to expand participation and increase fundraising efforts in the years ahead.
