Rendina Healthcare Real Estate announced that Inspira Health Center Deptford has been honored with a 2024 HREI Insights Award in the category of Best Renovated or Repurposed Healthcare Facility. The national recognition highlights excellence in healthcare real estate development and was presented by Healthcare Real Estate Insights™ as part of its annual awards program.
Located at 1450 Almonesson Road in Deptford, New Jersey, Inspira Health Center Deptford represents the successful transformation of a former retail property into an approximately 80,000 square foot, state of the art outpatient medical facility. Strategically positioned across from the Deptford Mall and near Route 55, the center expands access to comprehensive outpatient care while revitalizing an underutilized commercial site.
Rendina served as the developer of the project and led the real estate strategy, site acquisition, planning, design coordination, and construction execution that brought the facility from concept to completion.
“At Rendina, we take great pride in helping our clients bring bold visions to life,” said Richard M. Rendina, Chief Executive Officer of Rendina Healthcare Real Estate. “Inspira’s leadership team demonstrated remarkable foresight in reimagining a former retail space as a modern outpatient destination. Their commitment to access, innovation, and long term community impact is exactly what this project represents.”
The facility delivers a wide range of outpatient services, including Cooper and Inspira Cardiac Care, Cooper and Inspira Neuroscience, endocrinology, imaging by Atlantic Medical Imaging at Inspira, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, primary care, sports rehabilitation, and additional specialty services. The center was designed with a strong emphasis on patient experience, featuring efficient circulation, intuitive wayfinding, and an energy efficient layout that supports both clinical operations and patient comfort. An ambulatory surgery center is also under consideration.
The project began with the acquisition of the property in July 2021, reached completion in March 2024, and officially opened to the community on April 23, 2024.
“Our partnership with Rendina was instrumental as we evaluated key locations within our ambulatory growth strategy,” said Warren E. Moore, FACHE, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Inspira Health. “The successful transformation of this site has created a model for future redevelopment opportunities as we continue to bring care closer to home.”
The HREI Insights Awards are the first and only national awards program dedicated exclusively to recognizing excellence in healthcare real estate development and executive leadership. The 2024 awards were presented during the Revista Medical Real Estate Investment Forum in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
