BRISTOL, Conn.

City officials, staff from Bristol Health and representatives from Rendina Healthcare Real Estate gathered to celebrate the grand opening of Bristol Health’s new Medical Care Center (MCC), a 62,000-square-foot healthcare facility that will expand critical health services for the Bristol community. As a pioneer project in the revitalization of downtown Bristol, the new medical facility will pave the way for future development in the area, occupying a prominent site at the corner of Riverside Avenue and Main Street.

It was our board of directors who, in 2015, felt that since access to care was a priority identified in our community health needs assessment, that we should pursue this project. Even back then, we knew that this would be a win-win for numerous stakeholders including Bristol Health, the city and our patients and families.

The MCC will be occupied by Bristol Health’s Multi-Specialty Group, providing the community with a range of crucial services, including cardiology, endocrinology and diabetes, neurology, orthopedics, rheumatology and urology.

Rendina Healthcare Real Estate, a leading national developer, partnered with the hospital as the developer of the $26 million MCC, and will own and manage the facility going forward.

The opening of the Bristol Ambulatory Care Center is cause for celebration on many fronts.
