The facility offers a broad spectrum of outpatient services, including a 24-hour emergency department and medically supervised fitness programs that are open to the public via membership.

By deploying this model around the country, Akron General will play a pivotal role in the efforts of healthcare organizations as they seek to improve the quality of life within their communities through new methods of healthcare delivery. Medical Office Building Celebrates Construction Milestone – Will Open with New Hospital

As work continues on the new 175,000 square foot Canyon Vista Regional Health Center, construction of the new on-campus medical office building has reached a milestone. Earlier this month the steel framing for the 55,000 square foot medical office building was completed, and to commemorate the occasion, a beam signing ceremony was held.

Administrators and staff from Canyon Vista Regional Health Center were present at the event, as were local officials and members of the project development team.

“The new medical office building will be a great addition to the new hospital campus,” said Marty Rash, Chairman and CEO, RegionalCare Hospital Partners. “It is exciting to allow the team involved to sign the beam, and then place it on the new building.”

Florida-based Rendina Healthcare Real Estate is developing the new medical office building. Richard Rendina, Chairman and CEO, said the new medical building is intended to complement the new hospital while providing an enhanced environment with direct access to both acute and outpatient services.

The replacement hospital is expected to open in spring 2015. The new medical office building is expected to open in conjunction with the new hospital.

Just as the community needs a first rate hospital, we must also have space for physicians to practice near the hospital. We look forward to celebrating the opening of both the hospital and the medical office building next year.

Dr. Dean French, CEO of Canyon Vista Regional Health Center, who was present at the beam signing, emphasized that the new hospital is part of Canyon Vista Regional Health Center’s commitment to expand healthcare options to the community and bring greater economic opportunities to the area.

It provides a one-stop shop for multiple medical practices that will include OB/GYN, pediatrics, internal medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, sports medicine and general surgery. Additionally, it will provide advanced wound care with hyperbaric oxygen, adult and pediatric rehabilitation, and chemotherapeutic infusion services. The consolidation of all of these services under one roof will drastically improve clinical integration and increase efficiency in care.

Rendina Acquires $14.75 Million Medical Office Portfolio in New Jersey

Rendina has completed the acquisition of a three-building, on-campus medical office portfolio totaling 128,006 square feet. The portfolio is on the campus of Clara Maass Medical Center (CMMC), a Barnabas Health facility in Belleville.

The acquisition allows Rendina to bring management and leasing expertise to the properties, and also provides Barnabas Health an additional source of capital in connection with the development of an 87,000 square foot expansion of CMMC, a construction project that will include a state-of-the-art ICU as well as a new hospital lobby and custom-designed physician office space. Site work, including an expansion of the existing parking garage, began in late September. Rendina will serve as the developer – the beginning of a long-term relationship that both Barnabas Health and Rendina believe will be highly beneficial to the surrounding community. In addition to handling management and leasing responsibilities, Rendina will also invest more than $2 million into the three newly acquired properties in the way of capital improvements and upgrades.
